Reporting to the Distribution Center Manager (DCM) or Assistant Distribution Manager (ADM), performs Manual labor aspects of the operations and can assist in administrative tasks for the daily distribution center operations.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesCompletes tasks related to product receiving and dispatch inclusive of time, quality and quantity verificationAssists with distributing required amount of copies to DWs.Prints and reviews paperwork and distributes as needed.Assists in bagging of papers for open routes when needed.Performs administrative duties associated with the operationsParticipates in all the daily operations at a Distribution Center.Operates all office equipment including copier and computer equipment.Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety procedures, rules, and regulationsMaintains safety and cleanliness of work area, which may include restroom facilities, interior and exterior of building, as well as retrieval of storage carts.Availability to assist in other PCF locations if requiredAll other warehouse and housekeeping work as necessary.Other FunctionsOther duties as assignedQualificationsEssential QualificationsCompetenciesAction Oriented - ListeningFunctional / Technical Skills - Ethics and ValuesPerseverance - InformingPatience - Integrity and TrustCustomer Focus - Peer RelationshipsComposure - Time ManagementKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTechnical and FunctionalExperience using a PC or computer terminal and standard office equipment.Competence in the use and maintenance of material handling equipment, and the ability to be certified in the use of this equipment.Ability to use computer software including Word, Excel, DART, and other company applications.Good verbal communication skills and communication skills in person and on the phone.Ability to meet and/or exceed the established customer service objectives.Previous warehouse or delivery experience preferred.Required Physical AbilitiesAble to lift heavy items.Able to unload bundles of newspapers (30 – 50 lbs each) multiple times on a daily basis.Working EnvironmentAble to meet deadlines and attendance standards.Able to work weekends and early morning hours.Able to work in warehouse type environment.Able to function at night in adverse conditions.Experience, Education and Certifications RequiredExperience RequiredNo previous experience required.Third shift work experience is a plus.Required Educational LevelRequires high school diploma or equivalentOther Certification:Material handling equipment certification a plus.
